Event Information

The Research Development Office is hosting a virtual information and panel session on Friday, July 19, from 11:00 am–12:00 pm. Join us virtually to learn more about NSF's Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Program. During the session, the RDO will give an overview of the program including how to navigate the institutional limited submission process and two successful MRI awardees will discuss their experiences, share their insights, and respond to your questions.

Limited Submission Guideliness

This is a limited submission opportunity. See below for a link to the limited submission application portal. For more information about this limited submission opportunity, click here to view the RFP.

Note: The sponsor has limited the number of submissions per institution for this opportunity.

  • Limit on Number of Proposals per Organization: Two (2) in Track 1, one (1) in Track 2 and one (1) in Track 3.
  • If the UI is to be included as a funded subawardee on a development proposal in excess of 20% of the total budget requested from NSF, or as a funded subawardee on any acquisition proposal, an internal application should be submitted to this competition as this will count against the institutional limit.

Moderator

  • Aliasger Salem (Associate Vice President for Research; Lyle and Sharon Bighley Endowed Chair & Professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics)
